Notes:

I thought I'd share a pattern I've been having a lot of success with on the local largemouth bass. It's sort of hybrid clouser/woolly bugger design. With this latest variation I decided to try size 2 Eagle Claw weedless hooks as the summer weeds begin to be an issue. The plastic cylinder that attaches the wire weed guard also acts as a good base to attach the dumbbell eyes and gets them another millimeter away from the hook shank to improve the hook up configuration. This has a great undulating swimming action when retrieved with short strips. Forgive the picture quality; macro photography is not one of my strengths.
