While snooping around on the web I found this great
little pattern from Samual McAlonan from Forth Lanark in
Scotland looks like it’ll do the business anywhere!
It is the kind of fly that we would imagine
everyone would love to have in his or her fly
box.
The tail section has been made by cleverly
inserting olive ostrich herl into some Hairline
Damsel Nymph Body tubing; it looks the part and
has a great action once it’s in the water.
The eyes at the front exaggerate
the damsel’s swimming motion and the little red
tag and body hackle along with the thorax cover
just add to the flies overall appearance.
