While damsels can be found in the slower-moving
stretches of rivers and streams, it is in stillwater
environments where they are more abundant and of most
importance to the angler.
It is a great fly for trout, bass, carp, crappie, and
bluegill; and is best fished using a clear intermediate
sink line, but floating line will suffice. Cast and
retrieve near shore and/or weeds whenever adult
damselflies are present, and retrieve using short strips
with occaisional pauses.
