Weight hook and tie on thread.

Tie in marabou tail at the midpoint of the hook shank, extending beyond the shank for 1/2 the length of the shank. Trim butts close to reduce bulk.

Tie in pearl tinsel strip and fine copper wire ribbing.

Dub body, keeping it as thin as possible.

Bring tinsel over the back and secure it with ribbing.

Add partridge fibers on the sides of the fly. Legs should extend only to the end of the dubbed body.

Secure mono eyes with "figure 8" wraps of thread. Use a touch of super glue to prevent them from spinning on the
shank.

Wrap a dubbed head by making two "figure 8" wraps with the dubbed thread.

Whip-finish and apply cement.
